Not a replica. Not a tribute. The basketball used when the Chicago Bulls defeated the Los Angeles Lakers and secured the first championship in franchise history. Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen became champions for the first time.

Chicago’s victory over Magic Johnson and the Los Angeles Lakers closed the Showtime chapter and opened a six-championship era.
At the final buzzer, Scottie Pippen was holding this ball. Chicago had its first title. Michael Jordan and Scottie were champions for the first time. The object in Scottie’s hands became a physical witness to the start of a dynasty.
Scottie preserved it for over 33 years, then transferred the artifact to The BALL Foundation. The Foundation now protects the original, maintains its provenance and carries the story into new arenas.

Founded by Scottie Pippen, The BALL Foundation is the legal steward of the actual Game 5 Ball. The Foundation protects the artifact, maintains its provenance and develops responsible ways for its story to live through education, gaming, media, technology and cultural partnership.
The Foundation is also developing the legal and technical framework for the ball as a real-world asset. The existing $BALL token remains a separate community layer and does not represent ownership of the physical artifact.
